Each surgery consists of 3 phases: Ensuring a proper diagnostic and the correct indication for surgery (!) and selecting at least stressful kind of surgery. Bring the patient ready for surgery, in particular the once with, concomitant health issues, ensure if procedures without complications. This includes picking the right surgical team relating on decades-long experience in the Vienna-health Care Scene, they are confident best surgical team for any procedures that may be necessary again, this includes ensuring the right indication, finally the post-surgical period in order to achieve best results within a short time. Based on our philosophy we are aiming for short and absolutely necessary hospitalization, e.g., this includes, are performing all pre-operative tests together with general supportive health care measures prior to the hospital admission.
Lots of intervention pain procedures are performed by myself, fur to the pain management section. On other hand I administer regional, e.g., blogs of nerve pathways or general surgery, neurosurgery, orthopedics, or other interventions.
Before surgery
Preoparative Management
During the preparation for surgery, we take care of all the necessary preliminary examinations, the selection of the surgical team and the arrangement of the surgery date. The preparation for surgery includes a detailed explanation of the procedure. Thus, the patient is informed about the procedure and the type of anesthesia and possible risks. The patient will also be asked about previous illnesses and medication intake; if necessary, medication must be discontinued before the operation, after which the operation date will be determined. Your doctor will inform you, among other things, that you should not take any food for at least 6 hours before the operation (be fasting!).

Follow-up
Immediately after surgery, you will be monitored in the recovery unit for one to several hours.
Afterwards, depending on the type and extend of surgery, you will be either discharged home, treated in a covery room, taking to your hospital room, or transferred to an intensive care unit after major surgery.
Since severe pain can often occur after surgery, we also provide adequate pain treatment.
